I design services with an industrial designer’s eye for how things are really used.

Service Designer at Barclays

Trained in industrial design, I now shape the journeys, touchpoints and interfaces that make up a service, from the first sketch to the thing people actually use.

From objects to services

I started out designing physical products. Now I design the services around them: the steps, people and systems that decide whether something actually works for the person using it.

Industrial design taught me to prototype early, test with real people and sweat the details of how something feels in the hand. I bring the same habits to service design, where the “product” is a whole journey across channels, teams and moments.

I studied Industrial Design and Technology at Brunel, including a placement year at PriestmanGoode, then spent a year as a Junior Industrial Designer at Therefore Design. Today I’m a Service Designer at Barclays, working in a large, regulated financial-services setting.
